IQ Sports Technology

We are a new technology company that provides new technology that we have developed in house. More...

We are living in a new age of wonderful advancements. Our company has identified several areas where the new advancements are not being intergrated with some sports. We built the bridges so all of the advancements could be intergrated into many different sports. More...

IQ Sports Technology introduces "Q Boost"

Weave e-Pole

An Agility System like never before enter the IQ "Q Boost". Designed with Sports Science in mind to accelerate performance, we've invented new ways to collect data and then analysis it. Over the last several years we've developed many new pieces that make up the IQ Agility System. They are integrated with known technologies to deliver stats that will lower your times and boost the number of "Q"s you get. Q Boost is described below.

RFID

All this collected data is seamlessly synchronized with the database by use of RFID that will be assigned to the competitors at the registration table.  At check in teams are given a tag that will be used for data collection. Prior to entering the course to compete, an RFID reader will read the tag and wirelessly pull up the handler and dog’s information.  On runs the data is collected wirelessly and sent to a computer and is then stored in the IQ Database. The RFID tag will keep all information organized by dog and handler. The analysis of this data can now rank handlers and have the data for several different dogs associated with them.  All this data is accessed and analysis with our custom software.

IQ Database

Our system starts with an extremely robust database.  Designed from the ground up and customized to deliver comparative analysis of one dog’s performance to another; or compared to its own past performance.  You can filter by height, age, sex, class, breed (including mix breeds), and course surface.  Just about any way you can think of, we can deliver the analyzed data.  Also, if a comparative data set is wanted that we have not thought of we can easily add it to our solution.

Weave Poles

We have a wireless infrared laser that is set into the weave pole so the start and finish of the weave poles can be measured.  Data is then transmitted to our system and integrated for analysis.  The weave pole’s only visual difference is the cap on the top of the pole, (for the microprocessor and wireless components), and a housing in the poles that holds the laser.

E Pads

Electronic pads can be put on the A-Frame, Dog Walk, Teeter or Table. All interact with the Database so times can be analyzed and filtered by date, call name, breed, dog's sex, age, or Country. The E Pad looks just like regular equipment so your partner can work great the time they see it. Invisible technology giving you the edge.

Jumps, Shuts and Tunnels

We have lasers on all jumps, shuts and tunnels. These integrate into the timing box and offer better precision than used on most trials.

Not All Electronic Timing is Created Equal!

To collect the data we have selected an extremely precise timing box that has passed International testing.  It is approved for use by many sports federations and is already used for many international competitions.  Many teams in cycling, swimming, skiing, track and field, and bobsled use it for their most important competitions.  The precision of the timing box has been tested to 1/10,000 of a second, thus it is more precise than the current system that is being used for our important agility competitions.  It is on par with the timing system used at the FCI World Championships.  In addition, we have also selected photocells that are of the same caliber as the timing box to insure data integrity and system integration. As dog and handler teams have gotten better we see less and less time separating them in the standings. The sport is at a place where precise timing is needed. What makes more precise is the timing box is heat compensated where the current one used is not. Without the heat compensation the time "drifts". It run slower when cold and faster when hot. If you had two runs of exactly the same time, one was in the cool morning, one in the hot afternoon, the one in the morning can be several seconds faster!! This can change placements!! Think of a clock with the batteries running down...that's the clock you would get in the morning. Temperature compensation is the key to fair and accurate timing. A Temperature compensated Quartz crystal (basically the crystal is inside a miniature oven) allows it to operate the same at all temperatures. "Electronic timing, properly installed and operated is the only way to guarantee that every competitor from the highest to lowest seeded receives a fair and unbiased record of their accomplishment."

IQ Software

All this data is accessed and analysis with our custom software.  The software is run on computers that are networked to upload the data to the internet for instant access to the data by anyone needing it for multiple purposes.  We also have an onsite computer with the database to serve as a backup for data integrity.  There are multiple safety features built in to capture the data at several locations to prevent any data loss due to failure of any type. The data is also protected by encryption.

This full IQ Agility System will allow for a much more complete view of the dog’s performance that will allow for greater performance improvement.
